Vegetable Dewatering Machine Vegetable Dehydrators

Vegetable Surface Water Removal Equipment for Vegetable Processing Lines

A Vegetable Dewatering Machine is a mechanical water-removal equipment installed after the vegetable washing machines to remove surface water from vegetables without the use of heat. It reduces weight for storage/transport, and prepares them for further vegetable processing or packing. Dehydration inhibits microbial growth, extends shelf life, and concentrates flavor and nutrients. It can be used alone or as part of a complete vegetable processing line. Vegetable dewatering machines are essential equipment in Fresh vegetable processing plants, Ready-to-eat salad lines, Frozen vegetable production lines, and Central kitchens and food factories. We supply three types of Vegetable Dewatering Machines to meet the needs of different vegetable processing plants. Vibration Vegetable Dewatering Machine. Centrifugal Vegetable Dehydrator. Air Flow Vegetable Drying Machine.

    Dimension 4000*1200*1600mm 5000*1200*1600mm 6000*1200*1600mm

Air Blow Vegetable Drying Line Working Principle

Uses high-velocity filtered air. Powerful blowers generate wind curtains (“air knives”) that physically blast water droplets off the surface as the product moves on a conveyor belt—no mechanical contact with vegetables.

Air Blow Vegetable Drying Machine Features

    • Extremely gentle
    • No vegetable damage
    • Adjustable air pressure
    • High hygiene level

    Suitable Vegetables

    • Whole fruits (apples, tomatoes)
    • Hard vegetables (peppers, cucumbers)
    • Fragile leafy greens
    • Products requiring ultra-clean processing

Centrifugal Vegetable Dewatering Machine (Vegetable Dehydrator)

Continuous Centrifugal Dehydrator. No manual baskets. It is a fully automated drum.

    Power 1.5kw
    Capacity 2000kg/h
    Weight 600kg
    Dimension 1200*1200*1400mm

    Centrifugal Vegetable Dehydrator Working Principle

    1. Vegetables enter the Centrifugal Dehydrator from the top via a conveyor.
    2. Vegetables rotate inside a perforated drum at a controlled speed(300–1000 RPM)
    3. Centrifugal force expels surface water. Water exits through the perforated drum.
    4. After the cycle (e.g., 30 seconds), the Dry vegetables are discharged onto a takeaway conveyor.

Vegetable Dewatering Machines in Vegetable Processing Lines

In modern vegetable processing plants, a Vegetable Dewatering Machine is a critical link between washing and downstream processing. It is designed to remove surface water from vegetables after washing, ensuring products are clean, hygienic, and ready for the next stage. The dewatering step prepares vegetables for efficient and sanitary processing.

Typical Vegetable Processing Workflow in a Vegetable Processing Line:
Raw Vegetable Feeding → Air Bubble / Vortex / Spray Washing → Vegetable Dewatering Machine → Inspection & Sorting → Cutting / Packaging / Freezing

Many industrial vegetable processing lines use two-stage dewatering:

      • Vibration Dewatering (bulk water removal)
      • Centrifugal Dewatering or Air Blow Vegetable Drying (fine water removal)
